About the Designer
When Gina Vitale Syrja was growing up in Key Biscayne, Florida, her heroines were Zaa Zaa and Eva Gabor. She called everyone "Dahling." For her fifth Christmas, she asked for diamonds and rubies and she's been in search of bling ever since. When she couldn't find it, Gina Vitale Syrja created it. Since 1992 she has been weaving enchanting, one-of-a-kind designs to make weddings and black-tie events more glamorous and beautiful. Her Atelier, located in historic downtown Olympia, Washington, opened in 2004.

About the Name
Gina's Atelier is named Fair Portia after her favorite Shakespearean heroine. With Portia's no-nonsense, 'inner before outer beauty' approach to life, she shines as Gina's muse, inspiring a collection of original, utterly feminine designs for life's most sparkling moments.
